The main purpose

1. Sewage treatment

Compared with inorganic coagulant aluminum salt and iron salt alone, adding a small amount (0.1-2mg /L) PAM can obviously improve the settling effect of suspended matter.At the same time, COD and chroma of the treated effluent can also be significantly reduced.

Note: Inorganic coagulants in use must have good compatibility with this flocculant.

2. Sludge concentration

In the biochemical tank and sludge concentration tank, as long as 0.3 to 2 mg/L of PAM is added, the ratio of sludge and water in the tank can be greatly reduced (sludge concentration can be increased from 3-10 g/L to 30-100 g/L), so as to improve the utilization rate of biochemical tank and sludge concentration tank, and improve the equipment and personnel efficiency of subsequent sludge dewatering process.

3. Sludge dehydration

Due to the lower molecular weight and viscosity of cationic PAM, the concentration of preparation shall be 0.2% (it can also be adjusted appropriately according to the turbidity of sewage, but it should not exceed 0.4%, otherwise it will affect the smooth flow of pipeline).

The PAC

PAC is an inorganic coagulant, so there is no strict limit on the concentration of its preparation.

Precautions in the preparation of medicament

(1) Acceleration of injection

Aqueous solutions of PAM shall be provided in enameled, galvanized, aluminum or plastic containers.

When dissolved, PAM should be added to the container evenly and slowly (stir and heat at the same time) to avoid agglomeration of the reagent. However, the stirring speed should not be too intense, as excessive stirring will lead to degradation of PAM, thus affecting the use effect.

PAC is easy to dissolve, just mix it as evenly as possible.

(2) Stirring time

PAM: PAM has a high viscosity and usually takes 30-50 minutes to dissolve completely.

PAC: PAC is easy to dissolve, generally 3-5 minutes to dissolve.
